The Infiniti Q60 Concept: It's Not For Douchebags Anymore

A lot of people loved the Infiniti G35/G37/Q60 coupe, but it always struck me as kind of a poser car for $30,000 millionaires whose idea of fun was slamming back Jägerbombs and grinding on women they referred to as "slampieces" in some horrid West Sixth Street bar. (Google it.) But the concept that likely previews the next one is a win in my book.

A day after dropping the first teaser image, Infiniti has released more photos of the Q60 Concept they'll be showing off at next week's Detroit Auto Show. In terms of looks, I like it better than just about any Infiniti that's come before it, save for the old M45 sedan.

It's got nice, sleek lines, a good profile, and an aggressive sporting stance that make it pretty appealing to look at. Granted, it's not the simplest or cleanest thing to look at, but it's the best application of Infiniti's design language we've seen so far.

Infiniti has released no details about the Q60 or what could power a production version — I mean, you know that's gonna happen, because come on — but they did promise a "high-quality ambience inside (that) speaks of Infiniti's meticulous attention to detail, clearly evident from the impeccable hand-stitched leather to the precise treatment of the carbon fiber accents."

Neat. We look forward to more in Detroit.
